Awards and Honours
The extension activities play a vital role in developing a spirit of social responsibility among the students by providing them with opportunities to work with and among society. These extension activities are considered an essential part of the institution where students get an opportunity to bring out their potential through active participation in social problems. The institution has made several contributions to serve the current needs of the society. The community has also recognized and honoured the efforts of the institution and students.
For these extension activities, the college TRIVENI (Combined unit of NSS, NCC & R&R) has got a Certificate of Honour from the Health and Family Welfare Department, Zonal Hospital, Mandi (H.P) for recognition of distinguished service of volunteers by the way of Voluntary Blood Donation on dated 15 Oct 2019.
Rover and Ranger's unit has received an Award/Honour from the Director of the Ayurveda Department (H.P) for rendering social services in ‘Anorectal Screening and Ksharsutra Camp’ in Civil Hospital Karsog. The Camp was collectively organized by the Department of Ayurveda and Jai Dev Mahasu Society Karsog from 14 Nov 2019 to 19 Nov 2019. During this camp, 50 volunteers from our college have ensured their active participation in the health department.
During the Corona pandemic, volunteers, cadets and rover & rangers of the college have made outstanding contributions to uplift society from the pandemic situation. The contribution of students and institutions was also recognized by the government. The Rover & Ranger unit has achieved the “State Best College Award” from His Excellency Governor of Himachal Pradesh in the year 2021-2022 for making contributions to the welfare of society at the time of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Twenty students of the Rover & Ranger unit of the college also received the Award of Eminence’ for being the Best Performing College at State Level virtual project “Scout Fight Against Corona 2.0” from His Excellency Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
In addition to these achievements, our college students have also provided proud moments for the college individually, Rover Hitesh was awarded by Shri Govind Thakur (Education Minister Himachal Pradesh), for their short movie ‘2121 organized by Him Scene Society and Bhartiya Chitar Sadhan. NSS volunteer Mr Sourabh Thakur has also provided a proud moment for the college through his participation in the Republic Day Parade on 26th January 2019 in Rajpath New Delhi.
The College started its journey from the year 1994 and has completed a total existence of 28 years. During this journey, the college made a significant contribution to providing education as it is the only higher education institution in this rural region. The college has achieved many milestones and is in the pursuit of excellence. Some of the main Milestones of the institution are :
- The Institution is NAAC accredited with Grade "B" (Twice) and is under section 2(f) and section 12 (b) of the UGC Act 1956.
- The meritorious students have brought laurels to the institution in academics:-
