College Library
The college library is a key learning resource integral to the teaching-learning process. The college library has a good collection of 10628 reference books and textbooks in various subjects. All the books are stacked and systematically arranged in almirahs. The institution provides eight newspapers in Hindi and English daily and thirty magazines and journals for students, which help them to prepare for competitive and other examinations. The college library has eleven computers with connectivity of 50 Mbps.
Institution library offers online access to e-journals and e-books, through INFLIBNET.
The college library has a large study area and a seating capacity of more than 180. The college library remains open from 9:30 to 5:00 PM. Cleaning of the books and racks is done to preserve these books. The library has book issuance and return facilities and keeps proper records. The library maintains a register for students and faculty footfalls.
CCTV cameras have been installed in the library for surveillance. The library committee ensures that the library runs smoothly. It suggests various measures for the betterment of facilities in the library. It also provides book bank facilities to needy students. Annual stock verification is done by the college.
Library and its rules
- The college library has a collection of more than 14,000 books on different subjects on the shelves. It subscribes to several daily newspapers in English and Hindi, and periodicals regularly. There is a well-maintained reading room.
- A student after admission is required to collect the library-cum-Identity card on the production of his/her fee receipt. The card should be kept carefully by the student.
- Ordinarily, two books are issued at a time for 15 days, but the librarian can recall the same at any time.
- If the books are not returned by the due date, a fine of Rs. 1/- per book per day will be charged for the overdue period.
- Books are issued only on production of the library-cum-Identity card.
- Reference books and periodicals/journals/magazines are not issued; however, the students can consult the same in the library.
- The student shall be responsible for the books as soon as it is issued. Books torn/damaged/defaced in any manner will not be accepted. In case of loss of a book, the student will have to replace the book or pay a fine in addition to the present price of the book with special permission of the Principal.
- In case of loss of the Library-cum-Identity card, the duplicate can be had by making an application to the Principal, paying Rs. 20/- and production of a copy of the FIR lodged with the police.
If a student fails to claim a refund of library security within one year of leaving the college, it shall automatically stand lapsed.
